Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

its latest chargecooled EDC (electronic diesel control) form it produces 346 kW (464hp). A 298kW (400hp) version of the 143 is still available without EDC, but driveby-wire fuel systems will become increasingly common on all makes as emission limits are tightened

Most Scania 143s are sold to ownerdrivers who handle their own servicing, but the EDC requires an annual safety check which entails using special equipment.

All 14-litre Scanias have the R cab; our subject vehicle this month has it mounted on the optional four-point air suspension.

Scania specifies three levels of service: the M3, M6 and M12. The M3 is carried out every 30,000km and takes 5.2 hours; 60,000km M6 service takes 6.6 hours and the 120,000km MI2 takes 9.2 hours Technician Terry Snell of Scantruck West at Colnbrook took us through an M6 service on a twin-steer 143.470 which was first registered in March 1990 and has clocked up 156,000Ign. In more than four years with Scantruck Snell has completed most of the manufacturer's training courses, including those on EDC.
