• TNT Truckcare plans to set up a nationwide network of service and repair sites — and it expects to recruit 250 franchised, independent and fleet workshops over the next 12 months.
The size of business is not critical but top quality work is essential: "Under no circumstances will the standard and legality of vehicle maintenance be compromised," says TNT group chief engineer, Alan Parker.

will normally he servicing thirdparty vehicles and will be expected to carry fast moving parts for those fleets. TNT's parcel delivery operation might be used to move parts around the country.
TNT will provide marketing and whole-life costings for clients showing the various levels of service cover. Regional engineers will support and audit each site.
Work on vehicles covered by Truckcare will be charged to INT which will in turn charge the customer, but recruits can also be take work outside the scheme.
Parker expects Truckcare to develop as an independent interface between operator, the truck manufacturers and legislators.
