Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• ERF tractive units and prime movers are now fitted with Wabco anti-lock braking systems as standard. Training of dealers staff is now underway; training for operators is also available.

The four-day training course starts from first principles and includes the theory of electronics: "The main aim is to get people to think electronically," says ERF's Ron Gartside.

Trainees are then taken through aspects of the ABS system to trouble shooting and fault diagnosis. Most of the diagnostics are handled by blink codes but a Wabco diagnostic controller is also available. Operator training costs £40 a day (ex-VAT), not including accommodation.

O Seddon Atkinson plans three two-day ABS courses for the first half of 1992. They are open to operator and dealer staff and cost £35 a day (ex-VAT) plus accommodation.
