• Sealink-Stena Line may have to give up its Dover-Calais route to rival P&O before the opening of the Channel Tunnel in 1993.
Sealink boss Gareth Cooper, who plans to make more than 1,500 staff redundant following big trading losses, has acknowledged that the route could be lost if productivity is not raised.
