• British livestock hauliers are being investigated by the Ministry of Agriculture which has received reports from the RSPCA of sheep arriving dead or exhausted after journeys across Europe.
The Ministry of Agriculture has withdrawn export licences from an Edinburgh-based exporter and its East Anglian export agent, alleged to be responsible for the deaths of at least two sheep on a run from Calais to Italy.
