Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Parceline is introducing 3.2m-wheelbase tractive units into its all-Mercedes trunking fleet.

The longer wheelbase will allow it to set a 1.6m kingpin distance and pull maximum length 13.6m semi-trailers, says Mike Symmons, transport manager at the company's West Bromwich hub.

The first full-length semis will not come into service until next summer when part of the company's trailer fleet is replaced.

Parceline currently runs 155 12.2m semi-trailers and 80 tractors, mainly Mercedes 1625s with 3m wheelbases.

The express carrier has also specified 20 13m York tandemaxles — the longest trailers the 1625s can haul.
