• Pirelli has developed a range of tyres designed for trucks on urban multi-drop delivery work.
The steering-axle FR11 and driveaxle TR21 include the company's Zero degree belt technology where two bands run round the circumference of the tyre to reduce distortion in and out of the contact area.
Shoulder construction has been improved to help dissipate heat created by cornering forces, while the side walls have been strengthened to cope with the kerbing suffered in tight manoeuvring.
Prices are expected to be up to 20% below those of premium longhaul tyres.
