Geoffrey Frederick Page, 44. was elected president of the Traders Road Transport Association on Tuesday. He succeeds J. Delicate, who has been president for the past two years. For the past three years Mr. Page has been one of the Association's national vicechairmen. He is also a former chairman of its London and Home Counties division. Except for war service with the RAF, Mr. Page has been with J. Lyons and Co. Ltd. since 1939. In 1955 he took charge of its company transport department and carried out a policy of decentralization which was completed in 1963. He then became supply manager in the catering division and carried out an extensive rationalization process to cope with modern-day requirements. Latterly, Mr. Page has tended to become less of a distribution specialist and to assume responsibilities over a wider field. He is currently a vice-president of the Institute of Transport.

P. C. Hunt, general manager of the Yorkshire Traction Co. Ltd., has taken up the additional appointment of manager of the Mexborough and Swinton Traction Co. Ltd. as from May 1 in succession to A. J. Price who, as previously announced. has been appointed traffic manager of the City of Oxford Motor Services, Ltd. R. H. Roberts, traffic manager of Yorkshire Traction has been appointed traffic manager of the Mexborough company also, and M. Brown, assistant traffic manager of Yorkihire Traction, has been appointed deputy manager, retaining his present post. B. W. France. secretary/ accountant of Yorkshire Traction, has been appointed secretary/accountant of the Mexborough company with effect from May 1. G. D. James has been elected chairman of the RHA West Midland area; D. F. Dowsett and J. Male are vice-chairmen: A. R. Butt, R. N. Ingram, G. D. James and J. Male national executive council delegates.

Harry Champion, stores and traffic manager with BXL Ltd.. Newton Aycliffe (Co. Durham), has been appointed the firm's transport manager at its London HO. Mr. Champion has served as chairman of the Northern division and the Teesside area of the Traders Road Transport Association. V. M. Dantzer, mayor, and S. J. Hampton, commissioner, of Edmonton City, Alberta, Canada, where Daimler Roadliner single-deck buses are operated, last week visited Jaguar Cars Ltd., Coventry— headquarters of Daimler Transport Vehicles Ltd.— to discuss passenger transportation with the company's joint managing director F.
