This unique styling

Regarding the article "It's the biggest yet, says Bedford" (CM April 19) it seems that Bedford-Hawson has now produced a frontend van styling similar to the BRS Austin Star Bodies, VA parcels van conceived by Mr. W. L. Morgan of BRS, and featured in CM an August 1, 1958: Nov. 7, 1958: and (meat van version) Dec. 11, 1959.

In a letter I have before me from Mr. I. F. C. Beswick, divisional engineer, BRS, North Western division (the letter is dated Nov. 23 1959) Mr. Beswick tells me: "It seems likely that the general design features may be adapted by certain of the larger vehicle manufacturers when they will be available to the general public".

I realized the value of the unique frontend styling of the VA parcels van from its introduction 10 years ago.

Well, who knows? One of these days someone may even rediscover the old forwardcontrol Guy Wolf, and Vixen, complete with cast aluminium external radiator.
