• Road Tractors to the Rescue.

During the Christmas period, when the inclement weather conditions caused a great deal of trouble on the roads owing to the holding up of traffic, it was noticeable, in many instances, how much good work was carried out in the rescuing of snowbound private cars, and even heavier vehicles, by International, Fordson and other tractors (Quipped for road .haulage. • This is by no means the first time that these useful little haulage units have been employed for rescue work, as they have been used on previous occasions for hauling ears from racecourses which continual rain has turned into quagmires. Most of the Fordson tractors are provided with Muir-Hill equipment.

An accompanying illustration shows some of these tractors in actual use daring the 'period in question.
