Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

NEW heavy-duty Telelever tipping gear specifically designed for narrow-framed Continental chassis has been developed by Telehoist Ltd., Cheltenham.

Lifting capacity of the new design, the LK 10, is 14 tons and it can tip to an angle of 65°, Total weight of the gear including oil is 1 ton 7 cwt.

As narrow-framed chassis do not permit twin rams, a double-acting single-extension heavyduty ram of 8 in. bore is used. This is mounted in a chassis sub-frame and connected to a compound lifting frame pivoted in the chassis subframe. Two heavy-duty thrust links transfer the movement of the lifting frame to the body crosshcad.

The gear has a separate oil reservoir and filter unit, a four-way spool-type control valve and a high-capacity gear-type oil pump driven from a full-torque power take-off. .

Standard bodies for the gear are of welded steel construction. A dumper body of 10 cu. yd. capacity weighs about 3 tons 1 cwt. and an overburden body of 12 cu. yd. capacity weighs about 2 tons 1 cwt.
