LECTURES ON LUBRICANTS.

In reporting, in last week's issue. S.T.R. 's lecture tour of South Wales, we inadvertently omitted to refer to the fact that with him was Mr. A. E. Hope, 1V1.I.P.T., of the technical and research department of Shell-Mex and B.P., Ltd., London.

Mr. Hope delivered an address on the subject of lubrication to the same audiences as those who listened to S.T.R. He stressed the importance and economy of using a first-class lubricant and recommended hauliers to adhere to manufacturers' instructions, both as regards selection of lubricant and periodicity of replenishment and change of oil in the crankcase.

He referred, incidentally, to the special features of the new series of Shell oils.
