Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

fuel duty hikes involved 120 trucks from local owner-drivers and smaller operators in a three-mile convoy travelling at 30-35mph between Oswestry and Shrewsbury last Saturday.

The trucks on the 20-mile route did not enter Shrewsbury but drove around the bypass before congregating in a disused airfield where a press conference was held, attended by local media.

One of the main organisers, owner-driver Jim Jordan of Shrewsbury, says the idea to inform the general public of what was happening to hauliers came to him and nine of his colleagues only two weeks ago over a drink in a local pub.

"I urge other hauliers in other parts of the country to do what we have done," he says. "If you do not antagonise the public through blockades they are interested in hearing the problems we face."
