to start operator trials of 10 95XF tractors with the latest Euro-3 version of its 12.6litre engine. The in-line sixes will have the Dutch manufacturer's own unit pump electronic control (UPEC) fuel management system.
• Following the recent continental launch of its 400hp Premium tractor, Renault VI is expected to rationalise its UK heavy tractor range. This could see an end to the 390hp Magnum although the 430, 470 and 560hp engine ratings would continue to be offered in the new Integral range.
• At next month's IRTE show in Telford, 113-15 May) VBG will be showing a lighter version of its 65SF sliding fifth wheel. The VBG slider has a modular design which allows it to be retrofitted to replace VBG fixed fifth wheels. German rival Jost reports growing interest in its JSK 37 cast fifth wheel with built-in lube liners and a replaceable wear ring.
