• An in-cab computer, which allows truck drivers to receive written messages on the move, is being launched by the Band Three radio network.
The company says the device, called Radiotext, will be a boon for hauliers who want to give their drivers printed directions or addresses for delivery, without having to use a radio.
It is safer, because the drivers wait until they stop before reading them, says Band Three.
Radiotext facilities cost between £200 and £1,000.
