Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Six new Fodens, worth a total of more than 200,000, have been purchased by Mitcham-based waste and haulage contractor, A & J Bull.

The four 4300 eight-wheel tippers and two 4400 6x4 tractors with Wilcox trailers were supplied by Foden.

All six vehicles are fitted with Caterpillar diesel engines, rated at 220kW in the rigids and 294kW in the artics.

The trucks will help move the million tonnes of commercial and domestic waste which the company transports every year.

According to A & J Bull the trucks are going to be busy. Five years ago, one of its trucks would cover 40,000km a year on local short haul work, but now 120,000km is a typical annual average, because of Britain's improved motorway network.

The trucks will also be expected to fulfill maintenance schedules which ensure maximum fleet' availability. A & J Bull has a current availability figure of 96%.

Two of the eight-wheelers are fitted with 14m Thompson Engineering steel bodies, and two with Wilcox 24m steel bulk bodies.
