Li he Hawk hears of a particularly daring project involving an ex-London Transport double-decker bus, two brothers in their twenties and a crew of 25 who are touring European and Asian trouble spots in a bid to highlight the suffering of the needy.
The Serious Road Trip is an innovative project set up by accountant Andrew Watt, 23, and younger brother Chris, who works in marketing.
Recently the bus drove into a Yugoslavian war zone and snatched 50 children to safety. The vehicle did not leave unscarred — it carries a small hole from a Serbian sniper's bullet. According to reports, the Serious Road Trip intends to take its message all the way to Australia.
Now that's what I call serious cross-country motoring.
