n these environmentally conscious days it is always pleasant to hear of a haulier going Green — especially when it helps to dispel the blues.
Carlisle-based operator Eddie Stobart is introducing new uniform designs for his employees — out go the blue blazers worn by office workers to be replaced with dark green in line with the company's corporate colour scheme which includes dark green livery on the vehicle fleet.
Drivers are also getting new togs. But the staff are being asked to be patient — apparently the end of the old stock has overlapped with the designing of the new uniform, leading to a delay in supply.
So if you come across any naked Stobart drivers on your travels, you'll know the reason why.
