• Voith's lightweight hydrodynamic R116 retarder, launched at the Hanover show, is now available in the UK for fast light vehicles capable of speeds up to 140km/h (87mph). It is suitable for a variety of transmissions and weighs 26kg complete with oil/water heat exchanger.
Proportional control achieves maximum braking torque of 450Nm and heat is dissipated in conjunction with the engine cooling system.
