REPRESENTATIVES of Berg Paints were present in Londo last week to receive th Commercial Motor Liver Competition class award.
Berger's entry (see la! week's CM) was the winner Class B for artics operatin between 20 and 32 tons gyl, Accepting the award on beha of the company was grou transport manager Ro Moody and the Northern is gion transport manager Da\ Watson. CM's publishir director John Crookshan presented them with a silvl salver.
It is at Dave Watson's dep( at Middleton near ManehestA that the vehicle — a Volvo F1 and box trailer — displayir the winning livery is based. IV Watson paid tribute to his sta who put in the work on givir the vehicle its final shine f( the competition.
Ron Moody said that th livery, which Berger had fin used in 1972, was designed b the company's own creativ services department. The pal ticular shade of blue wa arrived at quite by accider when a blue topcoat was pt over a green undercoat!
The resulting shade of blu was liked and so since the Berger, being in the pair business of course, has mixe the colour quite deliberately.
