THE TYRE breakdown service run by Dunlop has been extended to cover the Republic of Ireland and this now brings to 15 the number of countries in the scheme.
Well over 1,000 vehicles have been issued with service passports and with the 17 new distributors in Ireland Dunlop has a network of almost 350 service points throughout western Europe. The scheme is designed give truck operators the san level of tyre service—partic larly out of normal workir hours—available to hauliers the country they are visitin The provision to the drivi of large sums of differet foreign currency in case emergency tyre repairs or I-, placement becomes unnece sary and the passport contair all the information for tldriver to obtain efficient se vice.
