ENEWAL of the licence !Id by K. A. Young and m of (tardiff has been reised by South Wales censing Authority Ronald ckson because the company cks good repute.
Edward Young, now the le director of the company, ;reed that the company had !en convicted last year of 10 fences of dangerous parts, :fective tyres and using vehicles without excise licences and plating certificates, and had paid £5,380 in fines and costs.
He said he had no knowledge of those offences until afterwards, and because of this he took over as managing director a week ago.
Young agreed that his brother and his brother's wife, who was also formerly a director, were still em ployed by the company.
His brother had been ordered to ,,pay fine,s and back duty of 0,280 in 1982 for using a vehicle without an excise licence and fines and back duty totalling 017 for a similar offence in 1983.
And in 1984 his brother was fined £100 for dishonestly receiving stolen goods and 1700 on 14 offences of using heavy oil in a road vehicle.
