Bus Costs Increase: A new gyratory traffic system at Abbey Street,Leicester, will cost Leicester Transport Department £1,400 a year in increased mileage. Five bus services are affected, and an extra 16,000 miles will have to be covered each year. .
Company Offer: An offer of support for any operator_ who asks for a licence to run buses between Spalding and Bourne, Lines, and Melton Mowbray, Leies, has been made by the Lincolnshire Road Car Co., Ltd., who have decided to withdraw their own service. • Public and Removals : In the report of a paper (The Commercial Motor, last week) by Mr. G. E. Jenkins to the northern section of the Institute of.Transport, he was reported as saying the public were morally dishonest in quoting details of removals jobs.
