Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

SAVING of labour and a reduction in the possibility of damage are the objects of a hydraulic lifting device which is being incorporated in a num-' ber of the vehicles belonging to the Century Oil Co., Long Beach, California. This organization, which produces, refines and distributes petroleum products, 'now employs an Anthony hydraulic lift platform to simplify the loading and unloading of large containers.

• This device enables one man to handle 55-gallon drums with ease and eliminates the need for the use of skids, with their possibility of damage and personal injury. Drums are rolled on to the platform, which rests upon the ground, the driver merely presses a lever and the hydraulic gear raises the lift platform to the level of the vehicle floor. For unloading the process is merely reversid. The vehicle shown in the accompanying picture is a White WB-14,' which has a Capacity of 20 drums of the 55-gallon size. The power platform is stated now to be almost indispensable, particularly where fast suburban deliveries are concerned.
