MR. J. SHINGLEION has been sent to America to take charge of the stand of Smiths Motor Accessories; Ltd., at the New York Motor Exhibition, which starts on February 5. In addition, he has been appointed. the company's North American representative and, after the Show. will make a comprehensive tour of the area.

Ma, R. H. BATCHELOR, export manager of Vauxhall Motors, Ltd.. for 15 years, has been appointed a director. He joined the company in 1919 as a chassis tester. In 1927 he joined General Motors Hoidens, of Australia. as production expert, returning to Vauxhall Motors, Ltd., in 1929 as assistant export manager. He became export manager in 1933.
