Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

III Renault more than doubled its year-on-year CV sales in the UK truck market durng the first half of the year.

The company says the increase of more than 2,500 orders was helped by the rising popularity of the Premium range and the launch of the Mascott and Midlum. Renault is now second only to Scania in terms of increased trade.

Managing director Yves Garin compares Renault's performance with France's Euro 2000 comeback against Italy. He says Renault has worked hard to "equalise with the opposition and is now well placed to move ahead" in the UK truck market.

Renault recorded a 76.3% rise in the 3.5-7A-tonne range and sold 1,000 Midiurns, increasing saes by 144.7% in the 7.5tonne sector.

At the heavy end of the market Renault sold 10.4% more tractive units: three-axle tractor sales rose by 31.7%.

It plans to maintain the pressure with the launch of its Renault Choice used truck programme.

UK truck marketing director Euan Harron says: "It offers flexibility to operators with three different levels of preparation and financial packages."

Renault has also set up a one-stop-shop programme with body manufacturers Boalloy

and Ratcliff, offering a Midlum box and curtainsiders with optional tail-lifts. Harron expects more than 10% of orders to be generated via this option.

The company has increased sales in its sub

sidiary businesses, including Renault Oil and the All Makes parts programme. It plans to expand its Service 24 coverage with improvements to contract maintenance deals, including a five-year warranty.
