tion have established with the Ministry of Transport that broken-down vehicles may be towed on a motorway. Mr. R. E. G. Brown, the T.R.T.A.'s London secretary, writes in the current issue of his newsletter that a member in asking if this could be done explained that i was not a question of
towing a vehicle after a breakdown on the motorway but of using the motorway as part of the towing route.
"As the relative sections of the Act are complicated we checked with Ministry of Transport officials who confirm that so far as they know nothing in the regulations would prevent this," adds Mr. Brown.
