ARAILWAY objection, based on the contention that several applications for licences for excursions and tours had not been made in the prescribed form, was rejected by the Yorkshire Traffic Commissioners, last week.
For the London and North Eastern Railway Co., it was argued that the regulations provided that, where an excursion or tour passed through more than one Traffic Area, a general description of the whole route should be given. This had not been done. It was submitted that the Commissioners had no jurisdiction to hear the applications.
