At the annual general meeting of the Northern Area of the Scottish Commercial Motor Users Association, at Aberdeen, the following office-bearers were elected :—Chairman, Mr. T. W. Watson (Dundee); vice-chairman, Mr. J. G. Park (Aberdeen) ; committee, Messrs. J. Donald,, D. Horsburgh, C. W. Meredith, J. Reid, E. Robertson (all of Dundee) ; R. Cumming, C. Alexander, T. Davidson, J. C. Fiddes, G. Scott, J. H. Williamson (all of Aberdeen) ; and A. Callander (Forfar).
It was reported by the area secretary, Mr. D. A. Mortimer, that 200 new members had been enrolled in 1934. Mr. J. G. Park, who presided, spoke of the excellent work done by the S.C.M.U.A. since 'the Road and Rail Traffic Act came into force.
