Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Volvo has just introduced a new version of its Bride rear suspension as well as a new double drive, single-reduction tandem axle set.

The new suspension's three-leaf, centre-bal. anced parabolic spring bogie features a new trunnion design and revised springs and the rubber centre bearings are maintenance-free. The system is available at chassis heights of 1,000 and 1,200mm and provides a nominal weight reduction of 10-15kg over the older version, according to Brian Smith, truck manager, UK and Ireland.

The new cast steel tandem-axle set, meanWhile, being offered alongside the current welded Construction CTEV87 tandem-drive bogie, can take higher torque inputs and accepts better ground clearance under the differential bowl thanks to repositioned high-mounted brake chambers.

Both the new B-ride and axle set are available on the latest range of FM construction trucks.
