Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Dorset-based haulier Steve Butler is closing his business and selling his kit, citing industry pressures and fear of a fine following a fatality at the business.

The general haulage company has been going for 12 years, but partner Teresa Butler says the pressures of the business have become too much.

"In the last five years the industry has become a real struggle with fuel pricing and driver shortages so we've decided to call it a day," she says.

She adds that Health and Safety Executive's investigation into last year's fatality at the company has also added to pressures.

"We have no idea what we are going to do after this— we'll lust have to take a deep breath and consider our future," she continues.

The company ran vehicles from 3.5 tonnes to a 38-tonne artic, and included crane and container work in its portfolio of services. Its crane vehicles, trailers and tractor units are to be sold by auctioneer Malcolm Harrison on 2 November at the company's Ferndown, Dorset site.
