Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I was one of the readers who received a copy of the questionnaire in CM January 9. I think you will find that you have a great number of readers like myself, men who havea lot of experience in transport and who, if given the chance, would be operators on their own account.. I have often thought that you could make a good article out of the problems which beset the aspiring owner-driver of today.

Why don't you give us a road test every week? There are surely enough new models to justify this. Also why riot do a repeat test on a machine when it is, say, a year old? And why not occasionally reprint a test done several years ago? I often read over my back numbers and find the comparison with tests on modern machines interesting.

[We'd happily publish more road tests if we Could get the manufacturers to provide vehicles. At present Continental makers seem keener to offer vehicles than most British truck and bus builders.—Ed.
