• An express coach service between Dublin and Paris is to be introduced by Coras Iompair Eirean during the coming season. The vehicles will use the Normandy Ferries route between Rosslare and Le Havre, there being one return journey weekly at the start, increasing to twice weekly in the peak season. Proposed single fare is £12; return £22.
In conjunction with a Scottish operator CIE proposes to provide a Dublin-Glasgow express, using the Bums-Laird Line BelfastArdrossan route. The service is planned to run six days weekly; the likely fares are £4 10s. single, £9 return.
