Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I REFER to your editorial on the silent majority (CM February 23).

To up-date you somewhat I should point out that our percentage of membership, within the commercial vehicle industry, is certainly higher than either you believe or than other people would give us credit for, and I am talking about the organised sector as opposed to the considerably larger unorganised sector.

Your point about our democracy would certainly give people the impression that it was new found when in actual fact we have consistently put to our members items of national interest.

For example, the tachograph has been the subject of three ballots over the last five years, just as we have balloted on sleeper cabs and many other topics. I am just sorry that you believe this is a new venture when with this union it is a continued venture.

I -would have appreciated it much more had you written about our Cafe Accommodation Handbook.1 am sure that if you put your mind to the particular service that the union gives its members and others in the industry, you would be able to write a more glowing editorial.
