DAF is to enter the UK diesel engine market by setting up DAF Diesel (GB) Ltd.
It is intended to supply UK manufacturing operations with a range of diesels from 37 to 230kW (50 to 310bhp) output.
They will be supplied for specialised vehicle, marine and industrial construction purposes.
In addition to the engines themselves, DAF Diesel will provide installation engineering, special stocking and payment terms and, it says, particularly competitive pricing.
The company also says it will be actively involved in co-operating with UK OEM's. which is entering of strengthening its European markets.
