METROPOLITAN POLICE coach control at last year's Chelsea Flower Show in London led to a "marked improvement" in local traffic conditions, and the police are using a similar system this year.
Coaches will be allowed to pick up and set down passengers at the two points allocated at Chelsea Bridge Road and the Chelsea Embankment only if they display a permit issued by the Metropolitan Police Coach Advisory Service, To obtain permits operators should contact the Metropolitan Police Coach Advisory Service at Room 618, Tintage House, Albert Embankment London SEI 7TT, giving the date of the proposed visit and the number of vehicles involved.
