Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AT a meeting of the Grimsby finance committee last week, Aid. J. H. Franklin suggested that in future all passenger transport throughout the country should be integrated. He said that he was certain that the policy of the Government was going to be one of integration of all forms of transport, whether private or public.

The committee was discussing a letter from Skegness UDC suggesting a joint traffic committee for Lincolnshire. Mr. F. W. Ward, town clerk, said that the aim of joint committee would be to make strong representation to the Government for some form

of subsidy for transport to avoid the continual increase in bus fares. Mr. Ward thought that this had been triggered off by the recent rise in fares by the Lincolnshire Road Car Co. Ltd.

On a suggestion by Ald. Franklin it was agreed to refer the letter to the Grimsby and Cleethorpes joint transport committee.
