THE offer made by N. M. Rothschild and Sons on behalf of Daimler Hire Ltd. to acquire the whole of the issued share capital of United Service Transport Co. Hamburg Container Depot THE German consortium, Euro-Kai, has announced plans for the opening of a new container depot in Hamburg towards the end of this year. The depot is specially designed for Transatlantic container traffic.

In addition to being available for containers landed from ships, the depot will offer facilities as a neutral quay and warehouse for all other classes of container operators.

loTA Conference: The annual conference of the Institute of Traffic Administration will be held at the Guildhall, Portsmouth, from May 20 to 22. After the official opening at 7 p.m.. Mr. P. H. W.
