FREIGHTLINERS Ltd is looking for a fourfold increase in its direct distribution of container-loaded traffic from the factory to the High Street by the end of next year.

This was stated by the company's new managing director, Mr C. Bleasdale, at last week's celebration to mark the 10th anniversary of the Freightliner system.

The company is also expecting benefits from the containerisation of maritime trades and the development of company trains. Some 50 per cent a Freightliner traffic is now a maritime type.
