BRS Parcels executives ar incensed by the implicatio they read into Mr Adley' words — that their compan is yet another loss-making put licly owned enterprise, proppe up by the taxpayer. In fact BRS Parcels Ltd made a profi of £1.9m in the last publish& accounts. The company ha always been profitable and — so it is argued — a decisioi to change the name for gool commercial reasons should no be prejudiced by uninformei comment.
On the estimated cost o E3m a spokesman was utterll derisory. A more likely figure it appears, is around one tent] of the sum quoted and then is some confidence that thi money spent would be re covered within a year througl improved trading results.
