Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

;sisting member without delay. This clause in our system is a safeguard for the assisting members against any dishonest practice by a 'benefiting member.

The system is open to all reliable parties, whether they are benefiting or assisting members, provided they are members of one of the IRU national associations in the UK —the RHA and/or the FTA. No AMI membership fees are involved: the credit cards are sold by us to the benefiting members through the intermediary of the national associations concerned. Each card holder receives a service brochure in which are listed all assisting members, their addresses and specialities. A copy a this brochure is enclosed for your information.

The competition angle has been completely eliminated in this scheme. The make and type of the vehicle is immaterial; the assisting member undertakes to offer his services to the best of his ability and no advantage is taken of the emergency nature of a case, since current service prices are charged.

The advantages of a credit scheme are well known; the drivers do not have to carry cash in order to cover emergency repairs. The IRU-AMI credit scheme offers many additional advantages which other schemes have not so far been able to offer. The system also covers personnel and goods. In addition to the service networks of Mercedes-Benz and MAN, all European service stations of Westinghouse/Thermo-King can offer their services to AMI-M credit card holders. In 1976 the International Federation of National Association of Tyre Specialists—BIPAVER—'will join 'the service, with their entire network of tyre specialists in Western Europe.

Negotiations are well under way to extend the AMI services to the Middle Eastern countries.
