Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Andrew Porter, a transport, storage and removals business based in Wrightington near Wigan, had a Bedford Luton van stolen in the early hours of Monday morning, February 23.

The truck is fitted with a ribbed Luton body painted cream and purple with black sign-writing. The name on the side of the vehicle was Hilton Layland Removals. Its registration number when taken was BVU 466T, chassis number EJN3BC0JW102997 and engine number 445411. Company boss Andrew Porter says that the van was fitted with an unusual 12/24 volt starting system and a 466 engine.

Ei Thieves beat the security system at Manchester Containerbase, Barton Dock Road, Trafford Park, to steal a con

tamer lorry carrying 488 microwave ovens worth 2110,000.

They sneaked into the containerbase and got out by means of a bogus pass.

A police spokesman says the document was not forged. "When a lorry is parked in this containerbase you are given a document which allows you to exit. The thieves got hold of one".
