BREAKDOWN COMBI NATION • The Automobile Association and British Road Services — are forming a new joint company, AA-BRS Services, offering an all-embracing breakdown and recovery service on a simple "pay-for-use" basis.

This new service will cover anything on four or more wheels — from cars and vans to the largest trucks. AA-BRS Fleet Rescue combines the resources of nearly 3,500 fully trained and equipped patrols and BRS expertise in the "pay-for-use" heavy recovery field, with 700 appointed agents, 130 BRS depots and over 1,000 heavy recovery vehicles.

The annual membership cost for a fleet of 50 or more vehicles is £150. Breakdown and recovery costs are charged at rates identified in a published tariff.

Wherever a breakdown occurs in the UK, a free phone call will bring help, round-the-clock, 365 days a year.

If the vehicle cannot be re

paired on the spot, Fleet Rescue will take the driver, vehicle and up to four passengers to any chosen destination on the UK mainland.
