JONES AND IFA • A range of light commercial and special purpose vehicles, is now to be marketed throughout Scotland by James Jones Engineering Division of Larbert.
The move follows the appointment of James Jones Engineering Division as the main distributor in Scotland for IFA Multicar. The franchise will form part of Jones' Special Vehicles Division.
The Multicar vehicles are manufactured by 1FA in East Germany and imported by Multicar (UK) Ltd, based at Andover, Hampshire, part of the Lansing group. As part of the agreement, James Jones will take over all servicing and warranty work from former dealer, Russell of Edinburgh and set up a network of local dealerships in selected locations.
A number of demonstration vehicles are already based at James Jones Larbert headquarters ahead of a series of open days and user trials, culminating in a major presence by the company at the "OffRoad Scotland 87" Show, to be held at the Knockliill Race Circuit near Dunfermline near Larbert on Friday and Saturday, June 5 and 6, 1987.

POWER TAKE-OFF • Spicer Clutch & Chelsea Power Take-Off Division — Dana Limited has appointed the Iver-based company, Talbot Diesels as a fully approved distributor for its complete range of Chelsea PT0s.
Blackwood Hodge-owned Talbot Diesels is the first appointment to be made by Chelsea in England. It will cover the country including Wales from roughly the Midlands South, utilising its Iver, Romsey, Cardiff, Saltash and Stowmarket operations.
Initially the agreement involves only the Chelsea range of power take-offs, but will eventually include a range of hydraulic pumps.
