Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

operate the Iveco Ford 24Hour Aidline roadside assistance and recovery scheme (Operators Handbook — February 21 issue), we believe some further clarification is required over the charges levied on operators of Iveco Ford trucks.

On contacting the central control room, by dialling 100 and asking for Freefone 5070, an operator can benefit from a free service to arrange roadside assistance or recovery of a vehicle. Only when the repairs are not covered under the terms of warranty will a charge be made for the actual roadside repair or recovery undertaken on their behalf. No charge is made for arranging this assistance.

24-Hour Aidline registration is available to any Iveco Ford operator and has been extended to include any Iveco products or Ford models above 3.5 tonnes GVW, irrespective of age. In all cases the registration is free of charge and vehicles continue to be registered after the vehicle warranty has expired.

Operators wishing to know more about this scheme should contact their local 'Yee° Ford dealer.
