• West Yorkshire Passenger Transport Authority has been given the go-ahead to spend a further £145,000 on services for the disabled and elderly.
The current AccessBus service, which operates a free door-to-door service in Kirklees, Wakefield and Leeds, is to be extended and similar services are planned for Bradford and Calderdale.
According to PTA chairman Michael Simmons "We still have another 205,000 in the budget for 1987/88 which we intend to use on opening up public transport to disabled and elderly people."
