campaign
"THE anti-nationalization campaign of the -IPassenger Vehicle Operators Association was attacked by Mr. Leslie Huckfield (Labour, Nuneaton) in the Commons on Monday. He asked Mrs. Barbara Castle whether she would direct the Transport Holding Company to ensure withdrawal from the PVOA of bus companies half-owned or controlled by the THC in view of the Association's activity against her proposals for Conurbadon Transport Authorities.
Mr. Huckfield also asked whether she would direct the THC to prevent companies in which it had a controlling or half-interest from participation, or contribution of funds to the PVOA campaign against the proposed CTAs.
Mrs. Castle replied that none of the companies wholly-owned by the THC, and only one in which it had a half but not controlling interest, was a member of the PVOA and in the circumstances a direction would not be appropriate.
