MR. C. J. MacDONALD, Metropolitan deputy LA, last week suspended one vehicle belonging to Southern Laundries (1946) Ltd. for three months.
In January, a Ministry examiner issued an immediate prohibition on the vehicle, reported that its condition was due to wilful neglect, and said it constituted a danger to the public.
The company, based at Reigate, Surrey, has a previous history of enforcement relating to contravention of drivers' hours and vehicle maintenance. The vehicle, which was operated on a hiring allowance, is owned by an associate company.
