Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A scheme for dividing A.R.O. Devon and Cornwall Area into 10 sub-areas, instead of six as at present, was fully discussed by the area committee, lass week. Mr. K. G. Foster presided.

Mr. Norman J. Bennett, area secretary, said that in Devon there were the Plymouth, Exeter and North Devon Sub-areas, but-, as those divisions were considered to cover too wide a field, it was felt that Honiton and Newton Abbot Sub-areas should be formed. In Cornwall there were at present the subareas of West Cornwall, Mid-Cornwall and East Cornwall (which had a northern district). It was felt that the northern district should become,‘ a separate sub-area, also that Penzance should be a sub-area.

A special sub-committee was appointed to go into the question of new boundaries and to arrange propaganda meetings at Honiton and Newton Abbot.

Intimation was received from Mr. Charles Hodgson (St. Austell) that he could not continue serving on the National Council. He has, however, been requested to serve as the area's national delegate for a little while longer. It was announced that Mr. Hodgson had been elected the area's representative on the hauliers' sectional board, following the resignation of Mr. J. Crews, of Exeter.
