kNTHONY CARRIMORE, part of he York Group, has developed a iin-eye model of its ES series lisplacement hoist, to allow a preater capacity body to be itted than is possible with norsal bottom-mounted bottom-mounted gears.
It has been done by building a :omplementary body with sloprig front enabling the untipped am to tilt forward. Improved lability in operation is also :Palmed.
The ram is trunnion-mounted it the base, and at the top incor)orates a spherical bearing for lurability on uneven terrain.
The first production unit has )een fitted to a Leyland .andtrain destined for Saudi krabia. The complete hydraulic :ystem is made by Anthony Carimore, with power from a new ow-ratio nine-cylinder pump deigned to suit the Fuller range of jearboxes, and a three-position ;ontrol block.
